Meet Dexter, Ruby Chef
For over 29 years, cooking for customers has been a passion of mine. My grandmother was a famous Cook in her hometown, and because of her great cooking, it has inspired me to become a Chef that I am now.
My culinary career started at a young age. I have been a hands-on Chef for many years in the Culinary Industry. My studies include taking Culinary Management and Chinese Cuisine at George Brown College Hospitality Centre in Toronto and received the Chinese Cuisine certificates. I competed in the Chinese cuisine cooking and won a 2nd place medal from the Ontario Chinese Restaurant Association.
I did my culinary apprenticeship at Movenpick Marchelino Restaurant. After several years of working in the industry I wrote and received the Red Seal Chef Certificate. My hardworking attitude, passion for food, and most of all satisfying the customers will contribute to the Ruby team. It is an honor to be part of an amazing team here at the Ruby as a Chef. I would like the guests to have a memorable experience they visit the Ruby and become loyal returning customers every time.
